Pearls…
Pearls are not new, they are set within the national collections of many countries, their natural occurrence means they pre-date humans and their nature beauty sets them apart as objects of wonder and desire.
Generations of wearers have enjoyed them for their ornamental quality and they have long been associated with the twinset and pearls brigade. However Granny’s pearls are making a modern impression on younger wearer today. Be it the boho beach fashion or high fashion, pearls are once again in the spotlight where they deserve to be.
We are currently working on some jewellery designs that combine the ancient traditions of silk knotting with a modern aesthetic to produce pieces that work with whatever your look. Muted copper and peacock colours juxtiposed with natural sugar pink and cream pearls bring a pared bay look that remains impactful. Designed to compliment your whole wardrobe, these ethically hand crafted pieces use recycled silver, sustainably sources pearls and waste products from shellfish harvesting. While we may one day look to a time where we do not harvest our natural resources in the vast quantities of today, while there is this practice ensuring a little waste as possible makes sense. We look forward to bring you our ideas in late 2024, with the first collection available in early 2025.
