THE STUDIO is a creative space focused on art and design located in Greater Manchester.

Founded by Annie Keki in 2001, THE STUDIO was created to provide studio space for her own practice. 

There are many reasons to share creative practices and over decades collaboration has been key to not only motivation but enjoyment. Laughter is a feature of the studio; it is never better than when filled with creative people with a shared purpose. Young and emerging artists and creatives have been a welcome addition to the studio over many years and we continue to welcome and inspire the next generation who will design and build the environment we all inhabit.

We also offer workshops and courses, although these are limited because we are usually busy enjoying our own practice.

Textile Studio Access and Hire

Access to the studio is available either to work independently on your project or to hire by the day. Studio access is for a single person. Studio access does not give exclusive use of the studio and there may be other people using the studio for similar access on the same day.

Studio hire gives you independent use of the studio and all the facilities (providing you are experienced in using industrial machinery). You can bring a team of upto 3, each working on the project and connected to the business on the hire agreement. Please contact us for availability and to book. There is a technician present for support, if needed. Depending on your intended use it may be necessary to complete a risk assessment at the time of booking. Hiring the studio allows small independent labels to undertake in-house sampling, short production runs, photoshoots etc…

Once your booking is confirmed you will be sent an invoice which needs to be paid in full ahead of time. There is ample parking on site and the studio is on Level 3 of a converted textile mill, there are no internal lifts, so you will need to be able to access the studio via stairs, we are sorry there is no wheelchair access.

Studio Access Rates

Studio access available 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday (not Sunday)

1 day - £100.00

2 days - £95.00 per day (£190.00)

3 days - £90.00 per day (£270.00)

4 days - £85.00 per day (£340.00

5 days - £80.00 per day (£400.00)

6 days - £75.00 per day (£450.00)

Longer periods by negotiation, if available.

Studio Hire Rates

Studio hire available 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday (not weekends)

Day rate - £200.00

As it is a working studio, it may be difficult to offer it for extended periods of hire and there is a flat day rate, but if you have a production run or need to video some content we are happy to discuss options with you. As opposed to studio access, studio hire gives you exclusive use (with the exception of 1 technician who will be working throughout)k
